Douglas Baltz is the CEO of Inertia One LLC which provides Education Consulting, STEM Leadership, and Strategic STEM Partnership Pathways. Doug has been an AP Physics Instructor and STEM Educator for over 20 years at Seaholm High School in Birmingham, MI. He is an Albert Einstein Fellow with the National Science Foundation and he spent the 2015-16 year on assignment in Washington D.C. Doug is also the recipient of the 2015 PASCO STEM Educator of the Year award, an adjunct instructor with the Oakland University Teacher Development and Educational Studies Program, and on the Board of Directors for the Michigan STEM Partnership. His colleagues regard him as a STEM Outreach Specialist – building talent pipelines and partnerships with professionals and surrounding Higher Education Institutions.

Doug has presented at numerous state and national science conferences. He recently facilitated NASA’s STEM Summit, co-presented with Dr. Pamela McCauley at the STEM Cafe on advocating demographic equity in STEM fields, and was the keynote plenary speaker at this year’s Michigan Science Education Leadership Symposium.  Title of presentation:  Strategic Partnerships:  Envisioning Current and Future Pathways in STEM Education.
